My top tips for night sweats - a common side effect of cancer treatment and hormone therapy
I honestly can’t remember the last time I looked forward to a package arriving this much!
The contents: menopause pyjamas
How times have changed!
I have suffered with night sweats since before I was diagnosed with cancer. That’s half a decade of waking up almost every night, drenched in sweat, roasting or freezing, tossing and turning. Finally falling back to sleep, only to be dragged out of it by someone crying ‘mummy’ or an alarm going off.
In the last year, the night sweats and hot flushes have calmed down. I still get them but nowhere near the extent I used to.
Partly, I think this is due to my body adapting to menopause and the drugs I take.
Maybe it’s not drinking and not snacking in the evenings.
But menopause pyjamas have also played a huge part in getting my sleep back on track. How? They’re made of wicking fabric, so although they don’t necessarily stop the sweating, they dry at record speed, meaning I don’t wake up damp, cold and shivery.
This isn’t an ad by the way.
Just an honest recommendation from one sweaty, menopausal cancer patient to another.
Menopause pyjamas have been a game changer for me to manage night sweats
